- THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS SHALL BE A SOLE-SOURCE PROCUREMENT AWARDED IN ACCORDANCE WITH 41 USC (c)(1) AND (c)(2). This project consists of replacement of the existing water heater system serving the Community Living Center at Fort Meade VAMC. The existing system is 20 years old and in failing condition. Complete failure would eliminate hot water from approximately 100 nursing home patients, which is unacceptable. Due to the emergent nature of this situation, this project shall be negotiated directly with a qualified, local, veteran owned plumbing contractor currently working on site and available to begin work immediately. Work consists of furnishing and installing a new water heater system, new circulating system, associated steam, cold water, hot water and re-circulating water piping, insulation, controls and removal of the old system equipment. The magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. NAICS: 238220, Sz Std: $14 Million, P$S : Z149.
