Description: The PDU converts aircraft hydraulic power into mechanical power, supplying torque and rotation to the weapon bay doors. Length - 3', Width - 2', Height - 3', Weight - 300 pounds. Total Line Item Range Qty: Min 3 each, Max 5 each. Destination: FB2039, Tinker AFB OK. Required Delivery: 31 January 2012. 9. Other: Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. To: Hamilton Sundstrand, Rockford IL. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. This part must be acquired from a manufacturing source(s) specified on a source control or selected item drawing as defined by the current version of DoD-STD-100. Suitable technical data, Government data rights or manufacturing knowledge are not available to permit acquisition from other sources, nor qualification testing of another part, nor use of a second source part in the intended application. Although, by DoD-STD-100 definition, altered and selected items shall have an adequate technical data package, data review discloses that required data or data rights are not in the Government's possession and cannot be obtained. Interested persons/firms may identify their interest by submitting a capability statement, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
