- Description
- The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Vaccine Research Center (VRC) is seeking small business sources that can provide a full spectrum of clinical research support services to the VRC's Clinical trials Core (CTC) for universal influenza vaccines and for other vaccines developed for testing in human clinical trials. Specific contract areas will include 1) Coordinating clinical trial site selection and performance of vaccine clinical trial support; 2) Data management services; and 3) Regulatory support and monitoring services. It is anticipated that this requirement will be procured as an IDIQ, task order type contract due to the rapidly changing needs of the Vaccine Research Center. The contract may require support for up to 4 Phase-I clinical trials and 1 Phase-II clinical trial in each contract year. Task Order requirements may require the contractor to select and manage clinical trial sites throughout the United States simultaneously. The anticipated contract term is 5-years. All capable small businesses including veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, and women-owned small business concerns should respond with a capability statement by April 23, 2010 at 11:00AM EDT. Capability statements must reference similar work that has been performed by the contractor and the dollar value of that work. Respondents should specifically address their ability to select and manage appropriate clinical trial sites based on study requirements and their ability to recruit and retain appropriate participants for a variety of clinical trials. Respondents must also demonstrate past experience with contracts of similar size and scope. This is a market survey, not a request for proposals. Capability statement should be no longer than 10 pages. All questions must be directed, in writing, to Michele Pearlman at pearlmanm@niaid.nih.gov
