- Description
- This is a notice of intent to award a Sole Source Procurement. The Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Agency (AFISRA) intend to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract on a sole source basis with Vacuum Instrument Corporation, 2099 Ninth Avenue, Ronkonkoma, NY 11779. The primary objective of this effort is to provide a VIC MS-40 Leak Detection System. This requirement is considered commercial in nature and any resultant contract will be awarded in accordance with FAR Part 15. The contract period of performance will be ninety (90) days from the date of award. Vacuum Instrument Corporation, is the sole developer that meets the sensitivity, oil free, and mobility capabilities required for this effort. This sole source acquisition is justified under FAR 6.302-1. No solicitation documents exist at this time. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334512. The size standard for NAICS 334512 is 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, the government will consider any responses from capable sources received prior to the closing date of this notice. The RFQ will be available electronically on or about 19 April 2010 on this website only. It is the responsibility of the prospective offerors to monitor the FedBizOpps web site (https://www.fbo.gov) for the solicitation and amendments. Fax, telephone, written or email requests for this solicitation package will not be honored. (NO HARD COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION AND/OR AMENDMENT WILL BE ISSUED FOR ANY REASON). Potential contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry to be eligible for award (See internet site: https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/default.aspx ). It is mandatory to obtain a DUNS number prior to registering in CCR by calling Dun & Bradstreet at 1-800-333-0505. This synopsis does not constitute an IFB or RFP and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not otherwise pay for either the information solicited or any required travel expenses. PHONE CALLS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. AFFARS 5352.201-9101, Ombudsman is applicable. Before consulting with an ombudsman, interested parties must first address their concerns, issues, disagreements, and/or recommendations to the contracting officer for resolution.
