Description
RECOVERYPMIS NUMBER 154583 This contract is funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act). In accordance with contract clause 52.204-11 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act - Reporting Requirements, the contractor is required to register in FederalReporting.gov and report certain information as required by the clause. Reports shall be submitted during the first 10 days after the end of each calendar quarter. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested. Solicitation Number N830610O309 is issued as a Request for Proposals (RFP) for fencing material located at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Hawaii National Park, Hawaii 96718. This combined/solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-35 dated 07/15/2009. This procurement is issued pursuant to Total Small Business Set aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 332618 and the annual size standard is 500 employees. NPS has a requirement for fencing material, including, but not limited to T-posts, wire fabric, galvanized eyebolts and T-post fence clips. Contractor will be responsible for furnishing all supplies, inclusive of shipping, to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The items required under this solicitation are commercial items. Commercial Item procedures are being used for this procurement and the contract type will be a Firm Fixed-Price type contract. This notice meets the requirements of FAR 5.201. The above wire fabric will be fastened to T-133 T-posts above a 48" tall game fence to bring the total height of the fence above 6'3". It is designed to present a visual as well as physical barrier to feral sheep wanting to jump the fence. The increased spacing between vertical stays keeps the fence light and lowers cost yet allows the fence to serve its purpose. The extreme terrain makes handling of taller fence rolls very difficult and unsafe for personnel. The protective coating must be of premium quality to withstand extreme exposure to SO2 and acid rain.
