- Description
- The contractor shall provide all labor, materials and equipment necessary to develop safety training and education programs in accordance with the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act (P&SSAct). The effors of the contractor shall be aimed at supporting The Consumer Product Safety Commission's goal to reduce the number of child drowning and entrapments and to promote compliance with Section 1404 of the Act for public pools and spas. The contractor shall have a minimum of ten years experience in pool and spa or aquatics safety. The contractor shall have the ability to reach a significant portion of the targeted audiences and a record of innovative and successful public service or outreach on important consumer or public safety issues related to pools and spas. The resultant contract shall be firm fixed priced. The anticipated solicitation release date is April 22, 2010. The performance period will begin on the day of award and not extend beyond one year. The award may result in multiple awards which will include one option year.
