- Description
- The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Warren, MI, intends to negotiate a sole source award in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 with WFEL LTD, Stockport, United Kingdom for a requirement to produce and deliver 11 each Dry Support Bridge (DSB). The DSB System consists of a M19 DSB and the M1975 DSB launcher. The M1975 DSB Launcher vehicle consists of a crane and a launching mechanism. The bridge has components for one 40 meter bridge with an extra set of ramps providing the capability to build two, 20 meter bridges. The launcher, equipped with a launch mechanism, will be used to build or retrieve the bridge. The requirement will be issued as an option under contract W56HZV-09-D-0116. All responsible Sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation, to the Government point of contact, which shall be considered by the agency. Responses to this notice must be received no later than 12:00pm, eastern daylight time, Thursday, April 29, 2010. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation of offers. This is a pre-solicitation notice, otherwise known as a synopsis (summary). A solicitation pertaining to this notice will not be available. Contractors should not call the buyer seeking the solicitation.
