- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to issue solicitation RFQP04101000006 for the provision of providing General Surgeon Services to the inmate population of the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Oxford, Wisconsin. The Contractor will provide specialty medical services in the area of general surgical medicine to the inmates at the FCI. The board certified/eligible Physician will evaluate patients on referral from the medical staff at the FCI. Contractor will examine, evaluate, perform minor surgery in-house, render care, and make treatment recommendations. It is estimated that the yearly requirements are 72 sessions per year. A session will be defined as one hour. The Contractor provided General Surgeon shall possess valid, current license and certification to practice within the State of Wisconsin. The contract period shall consist of one 12-month base year and four 12-month option years for renewal. The solicitation will be available on or about April 28, 2010, and will be distributed solely through the website at www.fbo.gov. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation amendments will be distributed through the website. The anticipated receipt of quotes is May 26, 2010. The solicitation will be a small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 621111 with a size standard of $10,000,000. All responsible small business concerns may submit a quote which will be considered. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
