- Description
- The Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmosphere Administration Eastern Region Acquisition Division intends to issue a solicitation for a firm fixed price purcahse order for basic research requirement to map deep reef fish habitats off the South Carolina and George Coast in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued on or about April 14, 2010 via the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) web site at http://www.fbo.gov. The RFQ number will be EA133C-10-RQ-0488; hard copies of the RFQ will not be issued. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the FedBizOpps site for RFQ release and all subsequent amendments. This RFQ will be issued using full and open competition. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 611310, and the corresponding size standard is $7.0 million. Period of Performance: May 7, 2010, or date of award, whichever is later, through November 6, 2011. The scope of work includes obtaining coral and water samples and assessing the growth rates in deep-sea corals from the Blake Plateau. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. Any purchase order award resulting from this RFQ will be made to the responsible vendor whose conformance to the RFQ will be most advantageous to the government, considering technical, part performance and cost.
