- The Department of the Army, National Capital Region Contracting Center (NCRCC) on behalf of the Department of Defense, Inspector Generals Office intends to award a sole source contract, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, to The National Conference Center, 18980 Upper Belmont Place, Leesburg, VA 20176-0198 for the procurement of conference space and a conference planner for a conference with approximately 300 attendees to be held on 10 May 2010 13 May 2010. This action will result in a Firm-Fixed-Priced contract with no option periods. This Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. There is no solicitation document. No RFP will be available for competitive proposals. Phone calls will not be accepted. The point of contact for this action is Mr. Augustus Patterson, Contract Specialist, gus.patterson@conus.army.mil. Interested parties may express their interest and provide a Capability Statement to Mr. Augustus Patterson via e-mail no later than 23 April 2010; 12:00PM EST. A determination not to compete this proposed contract action upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
