Description
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Seized & Forfeited Property (SFP) requires information per FAR 15.201, on acquisition support services to accomplish a performance-based acquisition for the SFP. The Customs and Border Protection, Office of Administration, Asset Management, Seized and Forfeited Property office, is the administrator in securing vehicle conveyance management and disposition services to support the seizure and forfeiture program for Customs and Border Protection for the four southwest border states of Arizona, California, New Mexico, and Texas. Each year the CBP seizes approximately 15,000 vehicles, valued at $10,000 or less, along the Southwest Border States of Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and California. Once the vehicles are seized, they must be maintained and stored until disposition. There is limited storage space available; therefore, one of the critical requirements is to facilitate the immediate pick-up and disposal services associated with seized and forfeited vehicles. These requirements are for services of a recurring nature. CBP requires a contractor to provide various acquisition support services. This Request For Information is to find out if there are any vendors who are able to perform these specific services. These services include planning, coordinating, document development, proposal evaluation support, and other related tasks. The specific acquisition is for vehicle consignment services for the four (4) southern states of California (CA), Arizona (AZ), Texas (TX) and New Mexico (NM). The services required are for: 1) Storage 2) Towing 3) Auction (Sale) 4) Destruction 5) Assisting in the identification of hidden compartments 6) Miscellaneous consignment duties that are requested by Seized Property Specialist in the field The NAICS for the above referenced duties from 1-4 are as follows: 1) Storage - 493110 2) Towing - 488410 3) Auction (Sale) - 425120 4) Destruction - 562219 However, the contractor should be able to perform all duties in the 4 NAICS. This is a total small business set-aside. The Government is requesting information at this time and does not intend to award a contract. Responses to this RFI are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. All vendors who are interested in this contract should send their contact information to eva.shaw-taylor@dhs.gov, by April 30, 2010.
