- DESCRIPTION: Contractor will be required to provide all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary to restore and pave designated portions of FSR 59 (North Creek Road). The restoration includes culvert replacement, signs, riprap, seeding, clearing and silt fence with approximately 3 miles of paving. This project is located within the administrative boundaries of the George Washington/Jefferson National Forests, Glenwood/Pedlar Ranger District, Botetourt County, Virginia. RANGE OF THE GOVERNMENT ESTIMATE: Between $500,000 and $1,000,000 DIRECTIONS TO THE SITE: From I-81 at the 168 exit (Arcadia exit), go east on Route 614 approximately 3 miles, to the intersection of FSR 59. SITE VISIT INFORMATION: Will be held on May 3, 2010 at 10:00 a.m.at the Glenwood/Pedlar Ranger District Office, 27 Ranger Lane, Natural Bridge Station, Virginia 24579. If further directions are necessary, the phone number for the District Office is (540) 291-2188. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Contract time will be 150 calendar days from the effective date of the Notice to Proceed. CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS: Contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry; registration may be completed on the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov/. Vendors must also be registered in ORCA (Online Representations and Certifications) prior to contract award, and may accomplish this on the Internet at http://www.bpn.gov. You must be registered in CCR and have an MPIN number before you can begin ORCA registration. SET-ASIDE: This project is subject to full and open competition in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS code for this project is 237310; the small business size standard is $33.5 million. BONDING INFORMATION: Offerors are required to submit a 20% bid bond with their proposals (facsimile bonds and proposals will not be accepted). Successful contractor must furnish 100% payment and performance protection within 15 calendar days of receipt of notice of award. SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS: Solicitation AG-3395-S-10-0005A and related documents will be issued via FedBizOpps and will be available for downloading on or around April 20, 2010 at the website address: http://www.fbo.gov/. All potential contractors and subcontractors should register on the FedBizOpps website as an Interested Vendor. The online Interested Vendors list will be the only such list maintained for this procurement. All responsible sources may submit a response which will be considered by the agency.
