Description

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract in accordance to FAR 6.302-5 (a) (6), authorized or required by statue. The Facilities Management Section at the Providence VA Medical Center requires hospital bed service and repairs for the maintenance of the existing beds currently in use. Under statue 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) the Providence VA Medical Center intends to make a sole source award of this requirement to Diagnostic Equipment Service Corporation. The proposed contract action is for the necessary maintenance required for service and repairs needed for the hospital beds currently in use at the Medical Center. Diagnostic Equipment Service Corporation is a VOSB and has conducted similar work in the past and has experience with capabilities to perform the services required. The Government intends to award to only one source Diagnostic Equipment Service Corporation under the authority of FAR 6.302-5 (a) (6) and in compliance with VAAR 819,7008 Sole Source Award to Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available.
