Description
Solicitation Number WC133A-10-RP-0020 - Facilities Support Services The purpose of this modification/amendment is to change the period of performance to a base year of 12 months, and two, twelve month option years, beginning from the date of a contract award, and to attach solicitation number WC133A-10-RP-0020 for facilities support services. The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), intends to procure facilities support services for the Office of the Chief Administrative officer, Real Property, Facilities and Logistics Office Logistics Division located in Silver Spring, MD. NOAA manages and coordinates facilities and space management related activities for NOAA clients in the Washington DC metropolitan area. These activities include, but are not limited to: systems furniture design, acquisition, installation and reconfiguration; tenant improvements and alterations; facilities service desk support; signage fabrication; and IT equipment and peripheral equipment relocations. The purpose of these services is to acquire support of NOAA's facilities and space management program and to maintain continuity of operations; allowing for continued facilities service support for the NOAA client-base. The contractor shall provide necessary supervision, personnel, services, materials, equipment, labor and any other items deemed necessary for a functional and efficient support operation. The anticipated period of performance for this acquisition is for a base period of 12 months and two, twelve month option years, beginning from the date of a contract award. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for 8(a) concerns and will therefore only be competed among contractors operating under the 8(a) program. The contractor will be required to provide individuals with, but not limited to the following experience: Working independently with end users to document and incorporate functional needs into final space plans; The latest automated tools - (AutoCAD, Archibus, 3rd party product modules, and standard desktop applications); Herman Miller Systems furniture as well as traditional free standing office furniture and equipment; Coordination of installation crews and scheduling of projects among several contractors utilized by the Government; The contractor shall also be responsible for providing project management and tracking these projects, ensuring accurate and timely completion; Providing the end user with periodic status reports for each project; Relocating IT and peripheral equipment to include accessory equipment; Signage fabrication equipment for space management standards and procedures; Preparing all drawings compliant with the Building Management Branch-National Capital Region (BMB-NCR) Engineering Drawing Operational Guidelines; and Preparing accurate to-scale technical drawings as needed. Preparation and maintenance of engineering drawings will be accomplished by adhering to industry standards. The NAICS code is 561210. All contractors doing business with the Government are required to be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) and the On-Line Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA).
