Description
This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov, the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition website located at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm. FBO is the primary point of entry to be used when access to synopses and solicitations from the World Wide Web is required. However, the NECO webpage as well as the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition webpage serve as alternatives if the FBO website is unavailable. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, anticipates award of a production contract for the Submarine Valve-Regulated Lead Acid (SVRLA) Batteries that will cover FY11 - FY12 requirements related to LOS ANGELES, OHIO, VIRGINIA and MOORED TRAINING (MTS) class submarines. This will be a competitive procurement. A firm-fixed price, 2 year, IDIQ contract is anticipated. Requirements covered will be the procurement of up to 6 LA Class Battery shipsets, 3 OH Class Battery shipsets, 1 VA Class battery shipset, and 1 MTS class battery shipset. Options will also be available for boosting, storage, commercial trays, spare C-cells and spare B-cells, and engineering services. Inspection and acceptance is at source. Delivery will be FOB origin. The applicable NAICS classification is 335911. Interested parties may submit inquiries or request a copy of the solicitation by sending an email to richard.colvin@navy.mil. The solicitation will be available on or about 24 May 2010 via the Internet and will close on or about 24 June 2010.
