- Bay Pines VA Healthcare System, Bay Pines, Florida, 33744, anticipates the award of a firm fixed-price contract to provide a community-based emergency transitional residential environment for homeless veterans and veterans at imminent risk of homelessness. The services will be furnished to beneficiaries for whom such care is specifically authorized by the Department of Veterans Affairs, Bay Pines VA Healthcare System. It is understood the type of patients to be cared for will require services above the level of meals, room and board. Care will include, but not limited to: a supervised alcohol and drug free environment, transportation assistance and case management services to begin addressing issues of homelessness and biopsychosocial needs (with a special emphasis on collaboration with VA program sources). It is further agreed that beneficiaries receiving care under this contract will receive basic health and personal hygiene maintenance, monitoring of medications, and any other service or supplies normally provided to homeless individuals. The per diem rate established will be an all-inclusive rate. The North American Industry Classification (NAIC) Code is 623220. All information for this solicitation will be posted on Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) at www.fbo.gov. No hard copies will be available. All prospective bidders must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov/index.cfm. We anticipate issuing the solicitation on or about May 1, 2010, with a closing date on or about May 19, 2010.
