- Description
- Synopsis: The 319th Contracting Squadron intends to issue a solicitation for school bus services at Grand Forks AFB ND. The contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all equipment, tools, supervision, and services necessary to perform services as described in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Work will include transporting students living in military family housing on Grand Forks AFB to and from Nathan F. Twining Elementary/Middle School and Carl Ben Eielson Elementary School located on base. The contract must be performed in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. This acquisition will be done in accordance with FAR Part 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Items). Award will be made using price performance tradeoff (PPT) procedures. The resulting contract will be a firm-fixed price contract. The basic period of performance will begin on or about 15 Aug 10 and end on or about 15 Jun 11, with the government's option to extend four subsequent years. This acquisition is unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 485410, School and Employee Bus Transportation, with a small business size standard of $7M. The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) on or about 30 Apr 10, and the anticipated response date is 30 May 10. Paper copies will not be mailed. Prospective offerors are responsible for checking the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website to obtain the solicitation and any amendments or other information pertaining to the solicitation; prospective offerors are encouraged to register for notification through FBO. All offerors doing business with the government MUST register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to any subsequent award. CCR registration can be accomplished online at http://www.ccr.gov. Registration requires a DUNS number and may take up to three weeks to process. Additional information concerning CCR registration may be obtained on the CCR website or by calling 1-888-227-2423. Potential contractors must also register in the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) at Internet site http://orca.bpn.gov.
