- THE PURPOSE OF THIS AMENDMENT IS TO (1) CLARIFY THE REQUIREMENTS. CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE TO THE DESRIPTION OF ALL LINE ITEMS; (2) ADD THE PROVISION 52.212-2, EVALUATION - COMMERCIAL ITEMS. DESCRIPTION: Plastic lumber will be used for repair of picnic tables (table top and seating) and table sun shades. Electronic pictures are available upon request (jpg). The color of all line items must be identical. The government must approve color selection. Samples or images may be required. LINE ITEM 0001: Please change the description of Line Item 0001 to read: Lumber, plastic, 2" X 10" X 7' (nominal cut), Non-structural grade, non-reinforced, constructed of recycled high density polyethylene plastic, colorants, and ultraviolet stabilizers. Boards must be textured on both sides. (used for table top and seating).Color: TanQuantity: 350 Each LINE ITEM 0002: Please change the description of line item 0002 to read: Lumber, plastic, Structural grade, reinforced, constructed of recycled high density polyethylene plastic, colorants, ultraviolet stabilizers and combined with fiberglass. Size (nominal cut): Thickness shall be between 1 inch and 1.25 inches. Width shall be between 5.5 inches and 6 inches. Length shall be 10 feet. Boards must be textured on both sides. (used for table sun shades).Color: TanQuantity: 1,450 Each Provision 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commerical Items is hereby incorporated into the solicitation. EVALUATION-COMMERCIAL ITEMS (JAN 1999) (a) The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: PriceDelivery Date Technical and past performance, when combined, are equal to price. (b) Options. The Government will evaluate offers for award purposes by adding the total price for all options to thetotal price for the basic requirement. The Government may determine that an offer is unacceptable if the option prices are significantly unbalanced. Evaluation of options shall not obligate the Government to exercise the option(s). (c) A written notice of award or acceptance of an offer, mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the offer, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party. Before the offer's specified expiration time, the Government may accept an offer (or part of an offer), whether or not there are negotiations after its receipt, unless a written notice of withdrawal is received before award.
