Description
RECOVERY ACT: Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for Replace Fire Pump, B139, as required by drawings and specifications. The scope of work for this project is to replace the fire pump in Building 139 which includes, but is not limited to, general construction, alterations, roads, grading, drainage, mechanical, electrical, utility systems, necessary removal of existing equipment, accessories, and certain other items as stated in the construction documents (i.e., specifications and project construction drawings). Place of performance is VA Long Beach Healthcare System, 5901 E. Seventh Street, Long Beach, CA 90822. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220 with a small business size standard of $33.5 million. The estimated construction cost is between $250,000 and $500,000. The estimated completion period for this work is 102 calendar days after the notice to proceed. The specifications and drawings will be uploaded as part of the solicitation on/about 4/28/2010. A date and time for a site visit will be stated in the solicitation. Award will be made utilizing the lowest price technically acceptable source selection process in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 15. Proposal submission instructions will be included in the solicitation package. The government reserves the right to award without discussions. The offeror is responsible for monitoring and downloading any amendments from the Federal Business Opportunities (http://www.fedbizopps.gov) website that may be issued to this solicitation. All offerors must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (http://www.ccr.gov) and VetBiz (http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov) under the applicable NAICS code, as well as VETS100 (http://www.dol.gov/vets/programs/fcp/main.htm) and Online Reps & Certs (ORCA) (http://orca.bpn.gov). No hard copies of the solicitation will be provided and requests or questions via telephone will NOT be accepted.
