- Description
- The Mission and Installation Contracting Command-West, Presidio of Monterey has a requirement for Emergency Replacement of Chillers #1 AND #2 at NELLIS, AFRC, Las Vegas, NV 89115. This project will consist of, but is not limited to the following: The contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision to replace HVAC Chillers #1 and #2. This project includes the removal, inspection, and installation of new HVAC equipment that replaces Chillers #1 and #2. HVAC units must be fitted with switching and necessary controls to afford a lead/lag operation and automatic sequencing for alternating the lead/lag to avoid constantly running one unit as the lead unit. Verify electrical power source requirements, make necessary changes to breakers and disconnects for new equipment. Provide any piping configuration changes including any new piping necessary to make connection from looped system to the new equipment outlets. Install new valve gaskets or seals. Provide equipment operational checks and analysis of Chilller lubricants during equipment break-in periods. Verify all dimensions and immediately notify the COR of any items or conditions different from the original pre-bid walkthrough. All operations necessary to accomplish the work will be done in accordance with the project Scope of Work. Solicitation number W9124N-10-R-0043 will be available on or about 7 April 2010. SITE VISIT is optional, but highly encouraged. A SITE VISIT is scheduled for Wednesday, 14 April 2010 at 10:00am (PST). Site visit location is NELLIS, AFRC, 5095 E. Range Road, Las Vegas, NV 89115-1902. All questions pertaining to this procurement must be submitted to the Contract Specialist NLT 20 April 2010 at 10:00 a.m. (PST). Proposals are due Wednesday, 28 April 2010 at 10:00 a.m. (Pacific Standard Time). This acquisition is set-aside 100% for Small Businesses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238220 with a size standard of $14M. Performance period is 120 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Estimated magnitude for this project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. A form of payment protection is required for this project. The contract will be a single award, Firm-Fixed-Price type contract.
