- RECOVERY-COMET STEWARDSHIP, DESCHUTES NATIONAL FOREST, OR-THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA) PROCUREMENT. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The resulting contract will utilize funds provided by the AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) OF 2009. Interested parties are notified that the inclusion of unique provisions required in implementing the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency, will be required of the successful bidder. Work includes: The USFS, Region 6, Deschutes National Forest will offer a Call Order under the Central Oregon Restoration Program (CORP) to the contractors awarded BPAs under the Stewardship work activity. This offering is a competitive offer for those awarded a BPA under (CORP) offering. The work associated with this offering will consist of the cutting of 0 to 8 inch dbh biomass, 8 to 21 inch dbh saw logs in a thinning operation along with optional work for mastication, hand piling, subsoiling, mowing, and road maintenance. The Contractor shall furnish the necessary personnel, material, equipment, services and facilities (except as otherwise specified), to perform the Statement of Work/Specifications. Project area is located in the Deschutes National Forest. The proposed procurement listed herein shall be competed amongst the CORP BPA awardees for Stewardship. Funding for this Forest Service Project will come from the American Recovery and Investment Act. Estimated start work date is JUNE 15, 2010 with an anticipated period of performance of 3 years from date of award. Pre-Proposal Meeting Date: April 21, 2010 @ 0900 at the Deschutes National Forest located in Bend, OR in the Mt. Jefferson Conference Room. Location: This project is located on lands administered by the Forest Service, Deschutes National Forest. Listed below are the Township and Ranges of the project area: T.15S, R9E, Sections 12, 24, 25 T.15S, R10E, Sections 6, 7, 17, 19, 26, 27, 30, 33, 34, 35 The Forest Service assumes no obligations to plow or do special maintenance to keep roads open.
