- RECOVERY-THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER FA5000-08-D-0008. ADDITIONAL WORK IS ADDED TO REPAIR RUNWAY 16/34, ELMENDORF AFB, ALASKA. ADDITIONAL WORK IS TO REMOVE AND REPLACE EXISTING 6 INCH ASPHALT ON THE NORTH KEEL AND REMOVE AND REPLACE EXISTING 4 INCH ASPHALT ON THE SOUTH KEEL AND RELOCATE RUNWAY LIGHTS ON THE NORTH AND SOUTH KEEL. A STATUTE EXISTS THAT EXPRESSLY AUTHORIZES OR REQUIRES THAT THE ACQUISITION BE MADE FROM A SPECIFIC SOURCE OR THROUGH ANOTHER AGENCY, FAR 6.302-5 AUTHORIZED OR REQUIRED BY STATUTE. THIS WAS A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT UNDER THE SMALL BUSINESS 8(a) PROGRAM. PER FAR 6.302-5 A J&A IS NOT REQUIRED FOR THIS AWARD. THIS CONTRACT ACTION WAS ACCOMPLISHED USING OTHER THAN COMPETITIVE PROCEDURES BECAUSE THIS IS AN AWARD UNDER AN EXISTING CONTRACT THAT WAS AWARDED USING NON-COMPETITIVE PROCEDURES.
