- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the provision of providing Parking Garage Spaces for the federal staff at the Federal Detention Center (FDC) located at 1200 Texas Avenue, Houston, Texas. It is anticipated that this RFQ will result in an award of a single contract that shall consist of a 12 month base year, and the possibility of four (4) 12 month option years. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. Award will be made to the responsible quoter who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government. The Contractor shall provide unrestricted access to the parking area for up to 150 parking spaces for the FDC. This includes 365 days a year, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, including Federal, State, and local government holidays. Parking spaces to be provided must be covered and within.3333 of one mile to the FDC. The spaces shall be paved, and illuminated as provided by the standard in the industry. The entire parking area will be maintained by the Contractor. All other qualifications and requirements will be detailed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be made available on or about April 30, 2010 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation and amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about the acquisition. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about May 21, 2010. The solicitation is a full and open competitive procurement. The North American Industry Classification System code for this solicitation is 812930 with a size standard of $7.0 million. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The anticipated effective date of award is October 1, 2010.
