Description
THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The Office of Advocacy is charge with understanding the role of small business in the U.S. economy. A large part of this is focusing on businesses that are driving the economy forward, high-impact firms. Corporate Resource Board (CRB) produced High-Impact Firms. Corporate Research Board (CRB) produced the original study for the Office of Advocacy on high-impact firms. Maintaining the previous methodology and data is paramount so comparisons can be made across the difference time frames. 1994-98, 1998-2002, 2002-2006 and then the new time period, mid 2004-mid 2008. CRB is in a unique position to create this new time period and perfectly match the data and methodology used in the previous study. Corporate Research Board has the ability to work with large and small business data sets, and their prior knowledge in matching data sets such as Dun & Bradstreet, the Bureau of Labor Statistics Industry Occupation Mix and the Census Bureau's PUMS file to create the American Corporate Statistical Library (ACSL) they are in a unique position to update the figures on high-impact firms. The ACSL is a proprietary data base that CRB created and only they have access to the underlying records. In addition, CRB employs William Parsons, who was an original programmer in creating gazelle counts using Dun & Bradstreet data.
