- Provide all personnel, equipment (cell phones), materials, supervision, and tools to install and maintain national and international wireless (broadband, BlackBerry, and cell phone) telecommunication services for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) facilities in Veterans Integrated Services Network 7 (VISN 7). This requirement will include the maintenance and support of wireless communication systems already in place. VISN 7 is made up of 8 medical facilities and 25 outpatient clinics located throughout Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina. The 8 medical facilities are in Atlanta, Augusta and Dublin, GA, Charleston and Columbia, SC, Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, Montgomery and Tuskegee, AL. Many of these facilities are in very rural areas. Growth is expected as well as expansion at the medical facilities to meet changing veteran population needs. This solicitation will be issued as a commercial item in accordance with FAR Part 12 and shall be evaluated in accordance with FAR Part 13. The RFP will be advertised as an open competition, all or none, solicitation with NAICS Code 517210 with the size standard of 1500 employees. The Government expects to award a single IDIQ contract to one contractor for the base year, (there will be 4 option years). The solicitation will be available on or about April 26, 2010. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining any amendments.
