Description: REVISED PRE-SOLICIATION NOTICE FOR ROAD REPAIR AT THE SITKA NATIONAL CEMTERY LOCATED IN SITKA, ALASKA FOR SMALL BUSINESS The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Cemetery Administration, is soliciting bids under Solicitation Number VA-786A-10-IB-0053 for the following: Contractor shall completely prepare site for project operations, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for repair and seal coating the roads as required by specifications for Sitka National Cemetery located on 803 Sawmill Creek Road, Sitka, AK 99835. Visits to the site by Bidders may be made only by appointment with the Cemetery Director. COST MAGNITUDE: The magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. CONTRACT DURATION: Performance period is approximately 30 calendar days from date of receipt of Notice To Proceed. NAICS CODE: 237310 METHOD OF AWARD: THE GOVERNMENT CONTEMPLATES AWARD OF A FIRM FIXED-PICE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT UNDER A SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. Award will be made on a competitive basis under Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) 14 to a responsive, responsible small business responding to this solicitation. OBTAINING SOLICITATION MATERIALS: Solicitation material consisting of the Invitation for Bid (IFB) details and specifications may be accessed ONLY via FedBizOpps at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No telephone requests will be accepted. The solicitation and drawings will be available as stated above, on or about April 16, 2010. PRE-BID CONFERENCE: An organized site visit has not been scheduled. Contact the Cemetery Director at Fort Richardson National Cemetery to schedule a visit (PH 907-384-7075). QUESTIONS: The cutoff date for questions concerning this solicitation has been established as May 4, 2010, at 2:00 PM Eastern Time, via email (only) to the Contracting Officer reference "Sitka Sol VA-786A-10-IB-0053". SUBMITTING BIDS: When submitting bids or offers to our address it is highly recommended that an over night service is utilized. There are unusually long delays associated with the delivery of US Postal Service first class and/or priority mail to government offices in Washington DC.
