- Description
- The U.S. Forest Service, Umatilla National Forest has a requirement for the replacement of two failing stream crossing culverts on the North Fork John Day Ranger District in Grant County, Oregon. The work includes but is not limited to mobilization, construction staking, soil erosion and pollution control, clearing and grubbing, excavation, dewatering and stream diversion work, removal and disposal of the old culverts, topsoil conservation, placing precast footings, load haul and assembly of structural bottomless plate box structure and a structural bottomless plate arch structure, riprap placement, backfill and finish grade and stream simulation rock placement through the new structures within schedule and in compliance with drawings and specifications. The period of performance will be 45 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. There is a limited window of time for in-stream work between July 15th to August 15th. A negotiated, firm-fixed price contract is contemplated requiring submission of both a technical (questionnaire) and price proposal. Award will be made to the offeror whose proposal offers the best value to the Government. The magnitude of the government estimate is between $100,000 and $250,000.
