RECOVERY-This solicitationw as awarded under the authority of the Small Business Administration 8(a) Set-Aside Program This notice is for information purposes only. The project is located on the Plumas National Forest in California. Work shall consist of installing a complete replacement water distribution system on a historic existing work center compound including fishing out an existing pump, furnishing and installing a new submersible pump, new water mains, new service waterlines, conduit and pull boxes for fture conversion of the aboveground electric distribution and telephone systems, salvaging five fire hydrants from the existing system and capping those lines to maintain the function of the existing system, installing the five fire hydrants in the new system, trenching, clearing, and backfilling as described in the specifications and shown on the drawings. The project also includes installing electric components associated with the new pump. An old water well is to be abandoned (plugged). Other incidental work items included: base rock, asphalt for patching roadways where trenching requires cutting through existing pavement, connecting the new system into the existing system, installing a new backflow device, furnishing a pressure regulating valve and connecting the services to the existing buildings as shown and noted on the drawings. Option 1 adds electric and telephone conduits to work for four building services. Option 2 extends the existing water distribution line from the hydrant at the end of the line and adds electric and telephone conduit over a part of the total line. Work includes salvaging the fire hydrant at the end of the existing line and reinstalling it at the end of the new line. All work in Option 2 shall meet the specifications for the remainder of the contract.
