Cleveland State University proposes to determine and recommend ways to overcome barriers to using steel slag as an aggregate for sustainable concrete pavement. Offerors who feel that they have a good business case to challenge the Government's position are invited to submit, in writing, an affirmative response to this announcement. The written notification (including a telephone number and e-mail address for the point of contact) is due fifteen (15) days from the date of this notice. This is not a solicitation. An affirmative response shall include all information necessary to be evaluated by the C.O. to determine if a competitive opportunity exists. Telephone replies will not be honored. This notice may represent the Government's only official notice of this procurement. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is April 26, 2010.
