Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single award for the provision of two (2) Computer Applications Instruction Services for inmates at the Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Prison Camp (FPC) and Federal Correctional Institution (FCI), in Ashland, Kentucky. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 611420, with a small business size standard of $7.0 million. The contractor must have the ability to work with an inmate population from a variety of cultural, regional, racial, and ethnic backgrounds. The contractor must possess at least a BA/BS degree and certification from an educational organization of higher learning. The contractor must currently be affiliated as full-time/part-time/adjunct faculty or staff with an organization which has accreditation recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. The quoter must provide proof that their candidate(s) meets all qualifications. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contract period shall consist of a base period from date of award through 12 months, and four (4) one-year option periods for renewal at the discretion of the government. The estimated quantities for the base year and each option year for the FPC are 910 sessions and the FCI are 520 sessions per year. A session is defined as one hour. The number of hours per week shall not exceed 30. The solicitation will be made available on or about April 9, 2010, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The date for receipt of quotations is on/about May 13, 2010; however, this is a projected estimate and quoters should refer to Page 1 of the solicitation (Block #8) for the actual date quotations are due. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. This solicitation is unrestricted
