Exhibit 1 - Drawings Attachment 2 - Wage Determination Attachment 1 - Specifications Sections C thru M - Solicitation Section B-4 - Schedule of Items - Optional Items Section B-3 - Schedule of Items - Rich Mountain Fire Tower Section B-2 - Schedule of Items - Frying Pan Fire Tower Section B-1 - Schedule of Items - Green Knob Fire Tower Section A _ SF1442 *RECOVERY* The USDA - Forest Service intends to award a Firm Fixed price Contract for the following project: Located on the Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina, This project calls for the following work at several locations: Frying Pan - Work on the Frying Pan Fire Tower consists of the removal and replacement of: chain link fencing adjacent to the tower and on the access stairs and landings, flooring (including floor joists), windows, doors, interior walls, ceiling, lightning protection system and painting the roof and cab. Green Knob - Work on the Green Knob Fire Tower consists of the removal and replacement of: chain link fencing adjacent to the tower and on the access stairs and landings, flooring (including floor joists), windows, doors, interior walls, ceiling, lightning protection system and painting the roof and cab. Rich Mountain - Work on the Rich Mountain Fire Tower consists of the removal and replacement of: chain link fencing on the access stairs and landings, flooring, roof shingles and underlayment (replace w/metal roofing) and lightning protection system. Price range: Between $100,000 and $250,000 This procurement is unrestricted (FAR 19.10) ********************************************************************************************************* IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION ********************************************************************************************************** Organized site visits have been scheduled for: Meeting #1 Green Knob Fire Tower Date: April 29, 2010 Time: 9:00am EST Those interested in attending will meet at: Directions to Green Knob - Travel from Asheville on 19/23 or future I-26 and take exit 25 towards Burnsville. Travel 19-E for approx. 28 miles and turn right onto No 80 South towards Mt. Mitchell and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Travel NC 80 South approx 13 miles and turn right onto a Blue Ridge Parkway Connector for approx. 250 feet. Turn left toward Mt. Mitchell traveling South on the Blue Ridge Parkway and travel approx. 6 miles to the Green Knob overlook. The pre-bid meeting will be held in the parking lot of the Green Knob overlook along the Blue Ridge Parkway and than travel up to Green Knob Tower approx. 1/8 mile on foot. Meeting #2 – Frying Pan Fire Tower Date: April 29, 2010 Time: 2:00pm EST Those interested in attending will meet at: Directions to Frying Pan Tower - Travel 280 from Ashville toward Brevard NC. Entering Brevard, turn right onto US 276 toward the Blue Ridge Parkway and Cradle of Forestry. Travel 276 for approx. 11 miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway and turn right on the Parkway to travel North. Pre-bid meeting will be held at the project site, however USFS personnel will be waiting at the gate on the Blue Ridge Parkway if the Parkway is closed. If the Parkway is open, travel north on approx. 4 miles and turn left on the National Forest System Road 450.
