- Sections C thru M - Solicitation Exhibit 1- Drawings - Supplemental Specs Attachment 2 - Wage Determination Attachment 1 - Specifications Section B-7 - Schedule of items - Option Items Section B-6 - Schedule of Items - Yellow Mtn Section B-5 - Schedule of items - Wauchecha Bald Section B-4 - Schedule of items - Panther Top Section B-3 - Schedule of Items - Cowee Bald Section B-2 - Schedule of items - Joanna Bald Section B-1 - Schedule of items - Albert Mtn Section A - SF1442 *RECOVERY The USDA - Forest Service intends to award a Firm Fixed price Contract for the following project: Located on the Nantahala National Forest in North Carolina, This project calls for work at the following locations: ***Albert Mountain Fire Tower*** - consists of the removal and replacement of: chain link fencing adjacent to the tower and on the access stairs, landings and catwalk, flooring (including floor joists), windows, door, wall framing, finish wall surfaces, ceiling finish surface and lightning protection system and painting/staining. ***Cowee Bald Fire Tower***- consists of the removal and replacement of: chain link fencing on the access stairs, landings and catwalk, access stair and landing treads, catwalk railing and decking, door and frame, exterior finish wall surfaces, roof shingles and underlayment (replace w/metal roof), lightning protection system and painting/staining. ***Joanna Bald Fire Tower*** - consists of the removal and replacement of: chain link fencing on the access stairs and landings, access stair and landing tread, door and frame, windows, wall framing, finish wall surfaces, ceiling finish surface, roof shingles and underlayment (replace w/metal roof), lightning protection system and painting/staining. ***Panther Top Fire Tower*** - consists of the removal and replacement of: chain link fencing on the access stairs and landings, windows, wall framing, finish wall surfaces, ceiling finish surface, asphalt shingles and underlayment (replace w/metal roofing), gutter and downspouts, lightning protection system and painting/staining. ***Wauchecha Bald Fire Tower*** - consists of the removal and replacement of: flooring-including floor joists (replace flooring with aluminum grating), removal of interior walls and ceiling, and painting roof and exterior walls. ***Yellow Mountain Fire Tower*** - consists of the removal and replacement of: cable anchoring system, concrete floor, door and frame, metal roof system, painting and installation of a lightning protection system. Price range: Between $100,000 and $250,000 This procurement is unrestricted (FAR 19.10) ************************************************************************************************************ IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION ************************************************************************************************************ Scheduled Site visits: Pre-bid Meetings This project will be broken down into two site showings/meetings due to the distance between projects. The two (2) meetings will cover different site locations. The first showing/meeting will be held April 20th (Albert Mtn., Cowee Bald & Yellow Mtn.) Location: Nantahala Ranger District Office, Time: 9:00 a.m. EST Nantahala Ranger District: 90 Sloan Road Franklin NC 28734-9064 Directions: Travel 19/23 toward Sylva, turn onto 23/441 toward Franklin. Travel 23/441 until it turns into US 64. Travel around Franklin turn right at the first light past the intersection with 441/23 onto State Highway 1153. Travel SR 1153 approx. 1/8 of a mile and turn right into the Nantahala Ranger District Office. Pre-bid meeting will be held in the conference room behind the District Office. ================================= The second showing/meeting will be held April 21st (Panther Top, Joanna Bald & Wauchecha) Location: the Tusquitee Ranger District Office Time: 9:30 a.m. EST Tusquitee Ranger District: 123 Woodland Drive Murphy NC 28906-3145 Directions: Travel US 19/129 toward Andrews / Murphy. Travel to Murphy and turn left just after you cross the Hiawassee River traveling west. This left turn will be at the first light after you cross the Hiawassee River onto State Road 1558. Travel SR 1558 for approx. quarter mile and turn left into the US Forest Service Tusquitee Ranger District Office Facility.
