Description
Specification Table PURPOSE This is a Department of State (DoS) Sources Sought/Request for Information (RFI) only. Contractors are requested to read and respond to the below and attached requirements accordingly. The responses from this RFI may be used as market research to determine an acquisition strategy for anticipated competitive acquisition(s) in the upcoming months. The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) notice is to survey the vendor community for potential sources who can provide an idea generating software and services required by the Bill of Materials below. Detailed specifications of each item are attached. PARTICIPATION IN THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION IS VOLUNTARY, NO COMPENSATION WILL BE PROVIDED. ALL QUESTIONS SHOULD BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING VIA EMAIL TO ROGERSAN@STATE.GOV. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE; THIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. NO AWARD WILL BE MADE ON THE BASIS OF RESPONSES RECEIVED TO THIS RFI. RESPONSE FORMAT Responses must be submitted electronically, formatted in Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel (any version). Margins must be 1" on all sides, to print on 8 1/2" x 11" paper. Typeface must be Times New Roman, 12 point font. Responses should be specific to the Bill of Materials and the attached specifications. There is no page limitation, but respondents are cautioned to keep marketing materials and non-specific information to a minimum. No responses shall be accepted via US Mail or Fax. RESPONSE CONTENT Responses should be concise, yet detailed, and include the Contractor's statement of interest, capabilities statement, and specific commercial of the shelf (COTS) products that the respondent could deploy to fulfill the requirement if a solicitation were to be issued. Responses may include the attached specification tables, indicating what product (brand, model#, etc) the respondent suggests to meet such future requirements. Respondents may notate each detailed specification on the tables, indicating whether the product suggested would meet the requirement or not, and whether there is any other technical consideration, option, exception, etc that would apply. Respondents are encouraged to include in their response any questions or additional information that they would require prior to submitting a quote, in the event that a solicitation is issued. No pricing information is requested at this time. For purposes of this RFI, the DoS encourages as brief a response as is practicable. NOTE TO RESELLERS Although any interested party (reseller, distributor, manufacturer, etc) may respond, it is requested that resellers or distributors of the referenced Spigit brand item refrain from sending lengthy responses, as this brand name has already been identified by the DoS as potentially acceptable equipment.
