- The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, in support of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS/IMF), Bremerton, WA intends to purchase One each brand name or equal, Carl Zeiss IMT Corp, Accura Coordinate Measuring Machine to provide for the accurate verification of measurements of items at the shop floor level. Must meet the following criteria: (a)The supplier has the choice of configuration and functional operation of the machine except where stated in this specification.(b)Machine travels of 35.4' X-Direction; 59' Y-Direction; 27.6' Z-Direction.(c)Machine structure shall be a single bride design with the following features. (d)Z-axis pre-wired to accept a fixed head and articulating head. (e)Ambient temperature: 18-22C.(f)Operating temperature: 10-35C. (g)Machine shall be capable of using interchangeable heads that can be quickly changed (within 2 minutes).(h)Machine shall come with a fixed head and accessories capable of contact scanning and touch-trigger single-point measurements. (i)Machine shall come with an articulating head with 360 movement in the horizontal plane and a minimum of 180 in the vertical plane and capable of contact scanning and touch-trigger single-point measurements. (j)Probing Accuracy as defined by ISO 10360-2: 1.7 MPEP ?m. (k)Scanning Probing Accuracy as defined by ISO 10360-2: 2.5 MPETHP ?m. (l)Machine shall include appropriate anti-vibration or isolation mounts necessary to meet the performance specifications under normal shop working conditions.(m)A single standard unit portable operator control hand box shall have a joystick for axis control. (n)A software readout shall be supplied indicating position of each axis. It shall be readable by the operator from any reasonable position around the CMM table. Resolution of at least four (4) digits to the right of the decimal point required.(o)A Hardware readout shall be supplied indicating position of each axis that is capable of being read from the opposite end of the machine. The minimum resolution shall be.0001 inches and.001 mm. (p) (k) Training - five days on-site. (q) Operator training on new system by qualified manufacturer personnel. The place of delivery is PSNS/IMF Silverdale, WA. F.O.B. Destination. Desired delivery date is 31 August, 2010. This requirement to be solicited using commercial, simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13.5 utilizing Low Price Technically Acceptable evaluation factors. The solicitation shall be posted as unrestricted, full and open competition. This solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the NECO website: https://www.neco.navy.mil. The anticipated posting date of the solicitation is on or about 9 April 2010 with a closing on 23 April 2010. Complete specifications to be included in the solicitation. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring that site for any amendments.
