- 30,000 tons of riprap will be divided among two work locations; Worksite #1; 18,000 tons is to be used at the head of Mapes Island (Upper Mississippi River Mile 427L) & Worksite #2; 12,000 tons of riprap for Buzzard Island wing dams (Upper Mississippi River Mile 351R). Important Note: Worksite location #1 is to be accomplished first, followed by worksite location #2. Only one site location will be worked at any one time.
