- Description
- NASA/DFRC has a requirement for 18 charter buses to transport people from LasCruces, New Mexico to White Sands Missile Range and same day return to Las Cruces. 18 Charter Buses on May 6, 2010. In the event of a launch delay on May 6, include a pricefor a contingency date of May 7, 2010. Each bus must carry a minimum of 55 persons. Each bus will be used for a minimum of 5 hours.2 of the 18 buses must have restroom facilities.Buses will be staged and loaded May 6, 2010 in Las Cruces at Mesilla Valley Mall, 700South Telshore Blvd., at 4:00 am. Buses must be at the load location no later than 3:30am.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and 13.Interested organizations may submit their quotes to perform the effort in writing to theidentified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on April 21, 2010. Thisnotice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordancewith the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information includedin this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as aRequest for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation willnot be issued. Offerors are required to use the On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote.The On-line RFQ system is linked above or it may be accessed athttp://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=. The information required byFAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are NOT acceptable in response to this notice. Please submit allinquiries via email to the address listed.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
