- The NAICS Code is 541330. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD), Port Hueneme, California, intends to issue a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee Order on a sole source basis to BAE Systems, Armament Systems Division, 163 Rochester Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40214-2683, under Basic Ordering Agreement Number N00024-07-G-5438, to furnish the services of qualified engineer(s) to support Naval Personnel (military and/or civilian) in regard to the MK 38 MOD 2 Machine Gun System. Authorized services by in-house personnel shall include, but will not be limited to, finalization of all required ICD's, logistic support documentation, engineering support and fleet technical support. Viewgraph presentations in support of technical meetings and program reviews including attending such meetings and program reviews for the MK 38 MOD 2 Machine Gun System are authorized. Each task under this delivery order shall be performed within the limits of hours, materials, period of performance and location specified within the authorization. Any data deliverable required as a result of the services performed will be defined at the time of tasking. Data may include, but is not limited to, drawings, technical manuals, maintenance requirement cards, supporting technical data for a SHIPALT. The data shall be delivered to destination(s) and at the time(s) specified in the individual task. Period of performance: Engineering services shall be performed within twelve (12) months ARO (after receipt of order). BAE is the only qualified contractor within the United States capable of manufacturing, overhauling, upgrading and performing depot-level repair and service of the Navy's MK 38 Gun System. Only BAE has the necessary in-depth knowledge of Navy gun design, production, assembly, and testing techniques regarding these weapons, including the necessary tooling an in-house capability to build, repair and maintain these guns.
