- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract to The Boeing Company, P.O. Box 516, St. Louis, MO 63166-0516 using authority FAR Subpart 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements for the procurement of Service Life Assessment Program (SLAP) Subsystems Phase B tasks. The Contractor, in conjunction with USN personnel, will provide subject matter expertise for the individual subsystems and will perform the subsystem assessments. Involvement of Contractor sub-tier suppliers will be limited to providing existing design, development, qualification, and repair/overhaul data. Sub-tier suppliers may be requested to provide subject matter expertise on their hardware. The Period of Performance is 18 months after Authority to Proceed (ATP). Boeing is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer and supplier of the F/A-18 Weapons System and only Boeing has the F/A-18 peculiar engineering data, capability, resources, and expertise required to fulfill NAVAIR's requirements.
