- INSTALL SPRINKLER SYSTEM NORTHPORT CAMPUS; Project No. 632-08-126 BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK to include but not limited to: The contractor will furnish all materials, equipment, supervision, and personnel necessary to accomplish the installation of sprinkler system throughout several buildings to include the attic areas and ground floors located at the VA Medical Center Northport Campus, with all upgrades required to meet current state and federal standards, municipal codes and NFPA as to be shown on the drawings and specifications. Construction phasing will be required to ensure patient safety. Contractor is also responsible to maintain all access to and egress from the buildings at all times for facilitys fire protection requirements and to meet the requirements of regulatory codes, laws, etc. The full solicitation documents including technical specifications and drawings, is expected to be posted on or about April 23, 2010. Offerors will search for solicitation VA-243-10-RA-0329 to access solicitation documents and any Amendments. Offerors are advised to check the web site frequently as they are responsible for obtaining amendments. This solicitation will be available in electronic format ONLY; distribution is limited to electronic medium and the VA will not provide hard copies. Copies of the solicitation may be downloaded at no charge at the Federal Business Opportunity (FBO) website at www.fbo.gov. A Pre-Proposal Conference and Site Visit shall be held, date/time/location to be provided with the solicitation. Only one site visit is planned. Offerors are strongly encouraged to attend. Offerors must be currently 1. Listed in the VetBiz Registry Vendor Information Page (http://www.vetbiz.gov/vip/vip.htm) 2. Registered on the Central Contractor Registration (http://www.ccr.gov) 3. Have completed Online Representations and Certifications at (https://orca.bpn.gov/). This acquisition is solicited pursuant to the Veterans' First Program, Public Law 109-461 as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside. A Firm-Fixed Price Construction award is anticipated. NAICS Code: 236220. Small Business Size Standard: $ 33.5 Million. Project magnitude: Between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. Ninety (90) day bid acceptance period will be required. Bid Bond will be required from Department of the Treasurys Listing of Approved Sureties. No bidders list is maintained.
