- The Bureau of Land Management intends to award a single, firm-fixed price contract to furnish labor, equipment, supplies, materials, and transportation needed to construct sidewalks, picnic pads, and picnic shelters located at the Big Water Visitor Center in Kane County, UT approx 60 miles east of Kanab, UT and approx 17 miles northwest of Page, AZ. The North American Industry Classification Code is 237990, with a size standard of $33.5M. Project price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. Performance time is 90 calendar days, estimated to begin immediately following contract award. Competition will be limited to eligible 8(a) firms located within the geographical area serviced by the Utah District Office, and other 8(a) construction firms with a bona fide place of business within the geographical competitive area, and the assigned NAICS code. All other 8(a) BD Participants are deemed ineligible to submit offers. Bonds will be required as follows: Bid Guarantee-20% of the bid price, Payment and Performance bonds-100% of the contract price each. To obtain the solicitation and/or amendments/updates for this project, contractors shall register and download from FedConnect. Contractors are required to register or update their registration at the CCR website www.ccr.gov in order to receive a contract award under this solicitation, and be register at ORCA website http://orca.bpn.gov. This procurement is being funded via the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The Awardee will be subject to Section 1512(c) of the Recovery Act which requires each contractor to report on its use of Recovery Act funds under the awarded contract. These reports will be made available to the public.
