- Mechanic with Service Truck (Draft Specifications) The Forest Service is requesting industry input on a draft solicitation for mechanics with service trucks in support of fire suppression and all-hazard incidents. When finalized, a standard solicitation will be issued on a Regional basis throughout the United States. Comments must be provided via electronic mail to vrdpist@fs.fed.us no later than close of business May 14, 2010. Telephone inquiries/comments will not be accepted. This draft is being issued for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a formal solicitation for the receipt of offers. All information contained in the draft solicitation is preliminary, subject to modification, and is in no way binding on the government. The solicitation posted here is an abbreviated version of the draft solicitation.
