- This publication serves as notice of intent to procure supplies for the Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Ship Okeanos Explorer located in Honolulu, Hawaii, on a sole source basis with ExxonMobil Oil Corporation. The Government intends to acquire supplies using FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Proposed vendor will supply 2090 gallons of Mobilgard 412, 275 gallons (5 drums) Mobil DTE 15M, 10.5 gallons (42 quarts) Mobil ATF DM, 15 gallons (3 pails) Mobil SHC 630 and 20 gallons (4 pails) Mobil Rarus 827 for delivery to the NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer in Honolulu on April 20 and 21, 2010. Exxonmobil oils and lubricants have been used exclusively on the Okeanos Explorer since NOAA took possession of the ship. It is strongly recommended to use Mobilgard 412 in the main propulsion diesel generators of the NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer. Interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received prior to the response date will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This is a small purchase action estimated value not to exceed $100,000.00.
