- RECOVERY – Pine Creek Water System Improvements The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing a solicitation number AG-0489-S-10-0443 on or about April 14, 2010, for Pine Creek Water System Improvements at Gifford Pinchot National Forest. If the solicitation is released, it will be released through this FedBizOpps website, and prospective bidders should visit this FedBizOpps website from time to time on or after April 14, 2010, to obtain a copy of the solicitation. This notice meets the requirements of FAR 5.201. However, the Forest Service reserves the right not to release a solicitation. PROJECT DESCRIPTION. Project work consists of the following major items of work: Plumbing and valves to concert 2 water tanks for independant operation, installation of a pressure transducer well pump control system, a remote monitor for water tank level. reconstruction work at a well house and miscellaneous work on the distribution system. The reconstruction work at the existing well howuse includes increasing well casing height, routing well discharge out the top of the well instead of a pitless adapter, new above grade plumbing and valves, concrete floor slab, electrical and new well pump controls. The magnitude of construction for this acquisition is expected to be between $100,000 and $250,000. The Government intends to award a negotiated firm fixed price contract. PROJECT LOCATION. Travel Interstate 5 to Woodland Washington, then travel east on SR 503 approximately 23 miles to where SR 503 turns south. Continue east on SR Spur 503 for 6 miles to Cougar, Washington and then continue 36 miles east on Forest Road 90 to the Pine Creek Work Center just before the junction with Forest Road 25. Another route is Washington Highway 14: take the Wind River Highway to Carson, Washington and continue north on the Wind River Highway which becomes Forest Road 30. Continue on Forest Road 30 to Forest Road 90. Go west on Forest Road 90 to the intersection with Forest Road 25. The work center is south (left) about 1/4 mile from the intersection of Forest Road 90. PARTICIPATION. The North American Classification System Code (NAICS) is 237110. The size standard is $33.5 Million. The solicitation with specifications and Davis Bacon Contract Act wage rates will be posted to the FedBizOpps website www.fbo.gov. REGISTRATIONS.
