- Synopsis: This is a Request for Information (RFI) as defined in FAR 15.201(e). The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) is requesting information from generator manufacturers to provide a rough overview of magnitude and cost estimates for new stators, including cores and frames, for two horizontal hydro-electric generators in western Colorado. The generators are located at the Upper and Lower Molina Powerplants, approximately 30 miles east of Grand Junction, Colorado. The specifics on the Upper Molina Powerplant can be found at http://www.usbr.gov/projects/Powerplant.jsp?fac_Name=Upper+Molina+Powerplant The specifics on the Lower Molina Powerplant can be found at http://www.usbr.gov/projects/Powerplant.jsp?fac_Name=Lower+Molina+Powerplant Reclamation is interested in this market research on cost estimates prior to developing specifications for these rewinds. For evaluation purposes, these costs should only include manufacturing and delivering the completed stators to the powerplants. These estimates should include new stators, cores and frames, manufactured using state-of-the-art materials and methods. No other work should be included in these cost estimates. Specific drawings related to the generators are available by email request to wbennett@usbr.gov. Interested parties should reply no later than April 15, 2010. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of the submission of contractor's information. The Government shall not be liable for or suffer any consequential damages for proprietary information not properly identified. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with the applicable Government regulations. Responses to the RFI will not be returned. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.
