- RECOVERY - THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. This opportunity is available only to certain contractors under the existing Multiple Award GSA Contract established for SIN 899-1. The basic Multiple Award Contract was competed and awarded for services of this nature. This is not a request for offers. This project is for a Site Characterization study of the abandoned Laguna Air Force Based that is located on the Cleveland NF. The findings from the study will assist the Forest in performing hazardous materials abatement, materials recycling and complete demolition and restoration work of the former base in order to return the land to a natural setting. Work also includes test and necessary research to determine the nature and extent of any contamination present as a result of the use of hazardous materials when the base was active. The findings will identify hazmat and hazmat building components needing to be removed prior to demolition and whether soil surrounding the structures is contaminated as a result of old storage facilities for fuel, lead based gasoline, asbestos, etc A demolition plan and full site inventory and characterization shall be produced from the investigation. One fixed price award is expected to result from this solicitation. THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS REQUIREMENT IS TO BE AWARDED TO AN EXISTING GSA CONTRACT HOLDER.
