- Sole Source Justification VERDI V10 LASER. The solicitation number is FA8601-10-T-0165. The NAICS Code is 334515. The size standard is 500. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The proposed source is Coherent, Inc. This purchase is for a diode pumped solid state laser system operating at a wavelength of 532 nanometers. Coherent is the only known source that can provide a laser system simultaneously meeting all the technical requirements of the requesting office for this specific application. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any quotation received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
