Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT The 316th Contracting Squadron, Joint Base Andrews NAF Washington, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with AMO Sales and Service, Inc., 1700 E. St. Andrew Place, Santa Ana, CA 92705 for the purchase of an iFS upgrade to the Intralase Femtosecond Lasik System. Negotiations will be conducted using other than full and open competition procedures pursuant to the authority of FAR 6.302-1.The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identity their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any responses to this notice of contract action shall be submitted to Ms. Anita Brown, anita.brown-03@afncr.af.mil no later than 8 April 2010, 12:00PM local time. (NAICS) code: 339115
