- VA NOTICE OF THIS PROJECT SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDEPROJECT TITLE: REPLACE FIRE AND SMOKE DOORS, BLDG. 200, 8, 64 & 65 AT VA MEDICAL CENTER NORTHPORT, NY PROJECT NO. 632-10-129 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supplies and supervision necessary to perform all work to renovate/replace doors (as per 13 page list attached) in Buildings #200, #8, #64, and #65, at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 79 Middleville Road, Northport, N.Y. 11768. The Contractor shall remove and replace all frames and doors that do not have a legible fire rating label that indicates the rating. Work shall include the reconstruction of the masonry and/or sheetrock walls that surround and enclose the doors, tape and spackle, two (2) coats of Benjamin Moore Primer and one (1) coat of Super hide Eggshell Paint (benchmark is paint put on doors is Benjamin Moore Alkyd semi gloss). All paint colors on doors and walls shall remain the same. All door hardware (i.e. cylindrical hardware, door closers, panic hardware) shall be replaced with the same as removed. All frames shall be H/M welded and fire rated, B-Label. All doors shall be H/M, B-Label fire rated and be bored for 93k Best Locking system or Van Duprin panic hardware with 4-1/2 "x 4-1/2" (inch) ball bearing hinges, all doors shall have 5" x 20"(inch) view panel (safety glass required), door shall have installed LCN 1461 door closers. Door magnets shall be removed and placed on new doors. Work to include, but not limited to construction, necessary to replace the doors and certain other items. Construction methods and workmanship shall comply with manufacturer's specifications and generally accepted trade practices and NFPA. All work shall be in full accordance with VA specifications, U.S. Department of VA Codes, Federal, State, and local codes and regulations and requirements. All work shall be performed as described herein and as specified in the body of this solicitation which shall form part of the contract documents. U.S. SBA Size Standard: NAICS: 238350 Size Standard: $14 million dollars COST RANGE: BETWEEN $100,000.00 and $250,000.00 COMPLETION DATE OF BASE BID: 180 Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed. Bidder must be registered in VetBiz, CCR and ORCA prior to award as a SDVOSB.
