- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is HHS1001-2010. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-35. The Associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 493110 General Warehousing and Storage (Cabinets). The Food and Drug Administration is solicitating for Ten (10) Stainless Steel Storage Cabinets withe the required specifications. 1) Approximate measurements 24" x 60" x 72" 2) Constructed of 18 GA 304 stainless steel with #4 brushed polish finish 3) Door(s) must be hinged such that it (they) can be folded flush against the side(s) and latched to the side(s) to effect processing through a cage washer 4) Door opening must have a full length neoprene gasketing to seal the contents when the doors are closed and latched. 5) Cabinet floor should be slightly sloped from back to front to facilitate drainage after washing. 6) A recessed handle on one side 7) A full wrap around non marring vinyl bumber 8) Four (4) stainless steel swivel casters with 6" diameter X 1 1/4" wide polyurethane wheels. Casters are sealed with grease fittings in swivel and axel and are rated for washing. These cabinets are required to be duarable, impervious, and periodically processed through the cage washer for thorough sanitation. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
