Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. Note: The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, Rhode Island is NOT accepting quotes or proposals via submission through NECO. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, Newport, Rhode Island intends to purchase all hardware used to install the outboard components for a submarine sail mounted array into a 688-Improved class platform. Quantity required will be between 1 and 6 kits. Only one contract line item will be awarded. Four one year options will be included; quantity required will be between 1 and 6 kits. Only one contract line item per option will be exercised per year. A firm fixed price type contract is anticipated. NAICS Code 333298, Size Standard is 500 employees. This requirement is 100% small business set aside. Further details will be provided in Solicitation #N66604-10-R-2191, which is anticipated to be released on or about 04/16/10. Drawings will be provided upon release of solicitation. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov) and ORCA (http://orca.bpn.gov/) to be eligible for award. Instructions for registration are available at the websites. Evaluation factors are technical capability, price, and past performance. Each is equally important. Required period of delivery is 10 wks., ARO, F.O.B. Destination Naval Station Newport; Newport, RI.
